Your Phlebotomist Comes to You

A phlebotomist will travel to your home or office and collect a 15-panel biomarker test to set a baseline before beginning the program.

Direct Physician Oversight

A 30-minute, virtual appointment is scheduled with a physician to review your results and prescribe a weight loss program to set you up for success.

Monthly Weight Loss Kit Delivered

Your prescribed weight loss medication and nutraceuticals are shipped directly to you.

Eligibility

Currently, Cene by Cenegenics is available to individuals who:

• Are between 18-64 years of age
• Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) that is 30 or greater or have a BMI that is between 26-30 with one or more of the following metabolic conditions:
  • Pre-diabetes
  • Diabetes
  • High cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
  • Obstructive sleep apnea
  • PCOS
• Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
• Do not have an active substance abuse problem, an active eating disorder (e.g., anorexia, bulimia), Type 1 diabetes, cancer, recent bariatric surgery (within the past 18 months), active gallbladder disease, a history of pancreatitis in the past six months, or a history of medullary thyroid cancer (MEN syndrome)
• Live in the United States

FAQs

What is the weight loss medication that Cene physicians prescribe?
The medications that Cene physicians prescribe are called GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) agonists. GLP-1 agonists are clinically tested, FDA-approved, stimulant-free, and non-habit forming. GLP-1 agonists are powerful, naturally occurring hormones that regulate blood sugar by stimulating glucose-dependent insulin secretion. 

How do GLP-1 agonist medications work for weight loss?
GLP-1 agonists help to control your blood sugar, but people taking them also tend to lose weight. GLP-1 agonists slow down how fast your stomach empties food (called gastric emptying). In addition, to causing your pancreas to release insulin, GLP-1 agonists also block a hormone that causes your liver to release sugar (glucagon). Together, these functions can help you feel less hungry, causing you to eat less food and lose more weight.

How much weight do Cene by Cenegenics patients lose on average?
Cene patients lose an average of 15% of their body weight within one year of the program when they adhere to the combination of weight loss medication, nutraceuticals, and lifestyle recommendations. 

What can I eat on the Cene program?
We will never restrict your diet. Instead, we will help you rebalance it. Cene's approach to nutrition is flexible and works with nearly all dietary restrictions. We strive to help you establish a sustainable and flexible approach to nutrition that focuses on minimizing fast-digesting carbs, fatty and sugary foods, and making healthier choices that include protein, fiber, and healthy fats.

Can I join Cene from anywhere in the United States?
Yes, Cene is available in all 50 states.

Is Cene covered by insurance?
No. Cene is a private medical practice designed to supplement the care your primary care physician provides. Therefore, we do not accept insurance. However, you can use your FSA or HSA to pay for Cene treatments and medications.

How much does Cene cost?
The first part of the program includes a 15-panel biomarker test done by a phlebotomist sent to your home or office. The lab results are reviewed by one of our board-certified physicians and translated into a weight loss plan for you. A 30-minute, virtual physician consultation is scheduled to review your results and your customized weight loss plan. All of this is included in a one-time cost of $695.

Once enrolled in the Cene program, weight loss medication, nutraceuticals, and supplies will be shipped directly to your home or office. The monthly cost is $549. There is no long-term commitment or contract required. The length of your participation is entirely up to you since we provide both immediate and long-term benefits.
